Daylily Day Trip

On a hot and humid summer day, July 20, 2019, several ladies from the church took a little road trip to Mutton Road near Webster, NH. Way out in the country, on a side road off of a beaten path, we found our destination...Milk Can Corner Farm, an oasis of riotous color where a huge selection of daylilies waved beneath the summer sky.

Despite the crushing heat, a determined group of women set out through the fields in search of the perfect daylily.

Lilies with names like Going Bananas, Doodle Bug, and Wine Goblet were scrutinized, photographed, and finally selected for purchase.

We all thanked Michelle Fournier for arranging this day trip for daylilies, and we thanked her even more when she directed us to Richardson's Farm, just down the road, for cool, refreshing, homemade ice cream!
